HDS
has direct connections to Medicare, Virginia
Medicaid and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
We also submit claims to virtually all commercial payers.
How
does HDS claims processing work?
HDS receives your claim information, then ‘scrubs” the
data using our proprietary claim processing engine, ClaimHub. ClaimHub
compares your data to the information the specific payer requires.
If the claim is missing information the payer requires, you’ll
know immediately so you can correct it before the payer even sees
the claim. This means faster reimbursement with all payers because
your claims are filed accurately and processed more efficiently
with fewer rejections.
HDS
meets the HIPAA challenge!
All claim types are Edifecs-certified to ensure they are HIPAA-compliant.
For more information, please see our HDS
and HIPAA page. MedLedger
employs security standards that meet — and in most cases exceed
— the HIPAA Security Standards.
Other Questions and Answers:
Does
HDS send insurance claims to all insurance companies and other third
party payers?
Yes. If we cannot send a claim electronically, we will print it
and mail it.
How
much does HDS charge for sending insurance claims and monthly statements?
Cost per claim/statement is based on volume.

Upon receiving client statement submissions, statement files are
transferred electronically to the HDS Print Office where they are
printed.

After statements are printed, they are prepared for mail processing.

Finally, special sorting and postage issues are addressed,
then it's off to the Post Office.
